hello! A friend and I is planning toclimb Mt. Fuji onthe lat week of April. I need to know where to get a climbing permit and how much. Thank you so much.:)

chipz_payat, there is no climbing permit, but you are advised to submit a climbing plan form. A link to the form can be found here:

Oops, I just found that the online form doesn't exist anymore.
Please refer to the official information from the local government instead.

A guest gets a free hotel voucher if Mount Fuji cannot be seen during the stay. That's an interesting promotion. (from Jan. 16 to Feb. 3 2012.)

My boyfriend and I are both English teachers in Tokyo. Mount Fuji was our last thing on our list of things to do in Japan before we return to Canada. I read a lot about Mount Fuji before leaving but none of the posts fully prepared me for what was to come. We ended up spending a lot of money on things we didn't think of until we were on the Mountain and the prices were outrageous.
