Yeti Ski Resort Opened
Snow Town Yeti, a ski resort in Susono city at the eastern side of Mount Fuji, opened this year on October 18. For 10 consecutive years, Yeti has been the skiing place that opens the earliest in Japan.

A bus runs everyday from Kawaguchiko station (Fujikyu Railway Line) to the 5th station of Mount Fuji Kawaguchiko Trail until the end of November.

The End of Official Climbing Season
Today is September 1st. The official climbing season of Mount Fuji has ended this year.
Many mountain huts will be closed, and the number of buses will be reduced, too.
We will post the bus timetables for off-season soon.

Crown Prince climes to the summit
Crown Prince Naruhito has climbed up Fujinomiya Trail to the summit of Mount Fuji on August 8th. It was his first time to reach the top, as he once tried in 1988 but had to give up at the 8th station due to bad weather. "I felt the greatness of Mount Fuji, and the sunrise was incredible", the crown price said.

Photo Exhibition at the Summit
A photo exhibition "Mt.FUJI3776" by Koiwai Daisuke is being held at a mountain hut atop Mount Fuji until Aug. 31 (the date may vary depending on the open hours of the mountain hut). Mr. Koiwai has been taking pictures of Mount Fuji for 9 years while working at the mountain hut.

Fujinomiya Trail : Tozan Bus Schedule to Mt. Fuji in 2008
Tozan Bus runs from JR Shin-Fuji station or JR Mishima station to the 5th station of Mt. Fuji Fujinomiya Trail during the climbing season (July and August).
