Nomination as World Heritage site postponed

Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures have been trying to nominate Mount Fuji as a World Heritage site in 2011, but the plan is likely to be put off until at least 2012.
UNESCO World Heritage Committee executives pointed out that the cultural relationship between shrines and caves around Mount Fuji aren't clear enough to qualify as cultural heritages.
