Rhabdophis tigrinus("Yamakagashi" in Japanese)

It went for the walk together with the dog in the afternoon of fine weather in May.
The place of a walk is a prairie at the foot in Mt. Fuji.
It is a natureful of a place here.

This must be Tiger keelback, or Yamakagashi in Japanese. http://homepage3.nifty.com/japrep/snake/namihebi/hiba/text/eyamakagasi.h...

Tiger keelback is generally a gentle snake so you wouldn't be bitten unless you reach out to catch it. However, it's better to be careful because the recent research showed the snake is actually poisonous.
