Japan Rail Pass is a special train ticket for foreign tourists.
This Web site explains who is eligible for this ticket, and how and where you can purchase it.

A local airport nearest to Mt. Fuji, scheduled to be open in spring 2009. The airport is also called Fujisan (Japanese word for Mt. Fuji) Airport. As of March 2008, Asiana Airlines schedules 7 flights a week, connecting Japan and Korea. Shizuoka prefecture is still negotiating with airline companies in other countries such as China.
