Planning to rent a car and leave tokyo saturday afternoon. Climb through night and drive back to tokyo on sunday.
Did the same trip last year at the same time and had no worries.
Looking for people to share car costs...

My wife and I would love to join, but we are leaving Japan the next day. Any flexibility on the day? Would Friday Sept 10th work? I know this is wishful thinking, but I thought I would ask.

My name is Jim and I am a former climber who has always wanted to hike Fuji.
I will coming from China on the morning of Sept. 11. I land at 1:15 and am staying at the New Otani hotel in Tokyo.
My plan was to take a late train down to the mountain and get started late that evening climbing. If you can arrange to pick me up at the hotel or I can cab it somewhere to meet in Tokyo, I would be happy to join you and pay for my share of the car.
I would prefer one of the less traveled routes to the top so we aren't stumbling over other hikers.
Let me know your thoughts and if you still have room.
