1) Roadside Station Fujikawa Rakuza (in Fujikawa Town)

An observatory lounge is at the 4th floor of Fujikawa rest area building, which can be accessed from the up lane (bound for Tokyo) of Tomei Expressway. You can enjoy grand panorama of Mount Fuji, Mount Ashitaka, Hakone, Izu Peninsula, and Suruga Bay.

2) Satta Toge (in Yui Town, Shizuoka CIty)

The view of Mount Fuji, ocean, and mountains in the east is beautiful. Satta Toge is said to be the only place among all 53 stages of the historic Tokaido road where we can see the same scenery as the one painted by an Ukiyoe painter Hiroshige Utagawa.

3) Miho No Matsubara (in Shizuoka City)

With approximately 54,000 pine trees along the 7-kilometer long coast, Miho Coast is one of the three major pine-covered areas. The view of Mount Fuji from the edge of the surf is overwhelming. The sight is so wonderful that it has been selected as the New Three Scenic Spots of Japan.

4) Gimbodai (at the summit of Nihondaira)

You can see Izu Peninsula, Mount Fuji, Suruga Bay, and the town of Shimizu. Gimbodai is one of the four vantage points of Nihondaira.

5) Fujikawa River Area (in Shizuoka City)

Sakuraebi is a shrimp which can be caught only in Suruga Bay. During open season in spring and fall, tons of Sakuraebi are dried in the sunshine at the dry river bed of Fujikawa River, making it look like a pink carpet. This view of Fujikawa River with Mount Fuji in the background is impressive.

6) Ocha No Sato Museum (in Shimada City)

Ocha No Sato Museum (a.k.a. World Tea Museum) displays many kinds of teas and tea utensils from inside and outside of the country. At this unique museum, you can learn about teas of not only Japan but also all over the world. On a fine day in winter, you can see beautiful Mount Fuji from the observatory at the 3rd floor.
