Shiraito no Taki is a picturesque waterfall located at the southern-west foot of Mt Fuji in Shizuoka prefecture. With its name Shirato (means white threads), the falling water looks like many hanging silken threads. The waterfall is recognized as Natural Monuments of Special Historic Sites and Special Places of Scenic Beauty. There is Otodome Falls located about 0.2 km southeast of the Shiraito no Taki, of which water falls much more strongly.
