Parking at Fujinomiya

FORUM TOPIC Jones105

I'm planning to drive a group of 8 to hike Mt. Fuji on Aug 23 for an overnight hike. From what I've read, there's parking for 500 at Fujinomiya, but sometimes this is full. Does anyone have any advice for alternative parking in case we get there and it's completely full? I'd love to go with a backup plan since I'll have a huge group with me.

Thanks!

hi,
the parking lots at the 5th station can fill up quickly. When I went there more than 10 years ago, we parked at the road shoulder several hundreds meters (yards) below the 5th station.
Please also note that the private car regulation will be placed from 5 PM on August 21st to 5 PM on 23rd. If you intend to go to the 5th station during that period, you need to park at the designated parking lots for shuttle buses. The map is at the bottom of this page: http://mountfujiguide.com/guide/Fujinomiya_Trail
More information about private car regulation is here:

Thanks.
