is there ANY way to climb fuji in mid march?

FORUM TOPIC fernan.spain

hi all,

i moved to tokyo some months ago and i have a friend coming to visit in mid march. he desperately wants to climb fuji, although i've researched and it seems quite impossible....so, my question is, is there any way to climb it to the top? hiring professional staff or whatever....

if it's just not possible, how high can we get? i mean, the 5th station is already open?

many many thanks for your help, really appreciate it :)

Hi. As far as we can search on the Web, there are no buses to the 5th station in March.
Here are some information from the past:

It's probably because for most of us the mountain is still dangerous in spring, which usually has lingering snow.

Speaking of hiring a staff, some tourism companies offer tours to visit the 5th station with English-speaking guide, although I'm not sure if they are available in March.
