staying at the Kawaguchiko 5th station overnight?

4 climbers arriving in the evening of August 30 (Sun) from Narita airport. Is is feasible or advisable to spend the night at the Kawaguchiko 5th station and then climb early the next morning? Is there a facility at the 5th station, which would allow us a good nights sleep after the long flight from the US?

Fastest way from Kawaguchiko to Kyoto?

Following a Fuji climb and returning to Kawaguchiko town, what is the best (fastest) way to get to Kyoto?
Must we return to Tokyo to catch the bullet train or is there a closer station?

I believe the Hikari Tokaido shinkansen stops at Odawara, which according to google maps is only an hour by car from Fujiyoshida. Maybe you could take a bus to Odawara? I took this line from Kyoto to Tokyo the other day and we stopped at Odawara, so I would be surprised if it didn't stop at Odawara on the return trip from Tokyo to Kyoto.

Kawaguchiko town to Kawaguchiko 5th Station by Taxi?

4 hikers would like to do a day climb on Mt. Fuji, Aug. 31. We would like to leave the Kawaguchiko Inn between 5 and 6AM, since no buses run that early is there a taxi service (or private car) that would take us to the Kawaguchiko 5th Station that early in the morning?

hi JHOK,
many taxi services are open 24 hours a day in Japan. You can probably ask a clerk at Kawaguchiko Inn to call a taxi company for reservation.
