There's no bus to the 5th station of Mount Fuji from December to March. (The last one from Shinjuku for 2009 is Nov. 3).
You might be able to take a train to Kawaguchiko station and then a taxi to the 5th station, but I think the fee will be expensive and also the road may be closed if it's covered with snow.
I believe you know what you are trying to do, but just in case...
Mount Fuji is open to everyone from July to August. This period is called "official climbing season".
Although there's no law to prevent experts from climbing during the other period of time, they are advised to submit a climbing plan to Yamanashi Police Department.

Thanks for the advise Junior.
We're not trying to climb the mountain , we thought its a tourist attraction venue ..haa...But if as you say, it'll be dangerous, we'll not be going up.
However, Fuji highland themepark is not up there right ? We can still visit the theme park right ?
Thanks alot .
cheerx

Hi,
sorry to trouble you, but can i double check
- is there bus from shinjuku to kawaguchiko station in dec ? i Saw a schedule that Keio Bus drive to kawaguchiko daily ?
- is there buses from mount fuji to osaka ?
Thanks alot .

Yes, even in December there's a bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko.
Fujikyu Highland theme park is open all year round.
FYI, We don't have a bus to the 5th station of Mount Fuji in December. For ordinary people climbing Mount Fuji is possible only during summer.
I don't think there's a bus that directly goes to Osaka from Kawaguchiko. The easiest way is probably to go back to Shinjuku, then take a bus bound for Osaka. You may also go to Gotemba and take a highway bus to Osaka.

Thank you for the information. You are right. There is a night bus from Kawaguchiko to Osaka.
(The Web site is written in Japanese but I'll post it here just in case: http://www.yamanashibus.com/kousoku_osaka.htm )
The bus leaves Fujikyu Highland at 20:14 and the fare is 8,500 yen.
There's a "bus" from Kawaguchiko train station to Gotemba train station, and a bus from Gotemba to Osaka.
Kawaguchiko to Gotemba: 1 hour and 10 minutes / 1,470 yen
Gotemba to Osaka: 9 hours / 7,500 yen
Again these pages are Japanese only but I'll post them here as references.
