Jimba Falls
Posted by junior on July 15th, 2008
A simple, pretty waterfall in Asagiri Plateau. The name Jimba came from an old story that Minamoto no Yoritomo set up a hunting camp near this fall. "Jin" means a camp and "ba" means a horse in Japanese.
Jimba Falls Festival is held in late August every year.
In spite of its beautiful scenery and historical background, the fall is not well known, and there is almost no public transportation.
